Gorilla
Bread
What
is Gorilla Bread? Well, kind of like monkey bread only waaay
better. Think of a little monkey. Isn't he cute? Not
picture a gorilla and how much bigger he is than the little
monkey. That is how much better Gorilla Bread is.
In a small saucepan, stirring well, melt the butter and brown sugar over low heat. Set aside. Cut the cream cheese into 20 equal cubes. Set aside. Mix the white sugar and cinnamon together and also set aside.
Now we’re ready to get going!
Sprinkle ½ C of the walnuts around the bottom of the bundt pan.
Press out a biscuit with your fingers so it's kind of flat and sprinkle with about ½ t of cinnamon sugar. Now place a little cube of cream cheese in the middle and wrap the biscuit around the it, making sure to seal the dough well. Roll the round ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture and place in the bundt pan on top of the walnuts.
When the first 10 are in the pan, sprinkle with some cinnamon/sugar and pour half the brown sugar/butter mixture over them. Top the first layer with another ½ C of nuts and prepare the second layer like the first.
Cover the second layer of biscuits with the remaining cinnamon/sugar then the brown sugar/butter and top with the remaining nuts.
Bake for about 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Place a plate on top of the pan and invert. The Gorilla Bread should drop right down onto the plate.
I’d saythis would serve 4 to 5. Maybe 6. No, more like 4. Heck, I’d eat the whole thing in one sitting.
