Broccoli Salad

8 C        broccoli flowers (cut very small )
2 C        golden raisins

2 C        cellery, diced
1 C        dried apricots, diced
1 C        slivered almonds, toasted
3/4 C    red seedless grapes, cut in half
3/4 lb.  bacon, fried and crumbled

        Mix together until well blended.

Dressing

4 T           cider vinegar
4 T           sugar

1 1/3 C    mayonnaise

Mix well and toss into salad mix.   This may be just a little too much dressing for some tastes.  Add  about 1 1/4 cup and see how you like it.  Adjust ingredients as you like. You might like 5T of vinegar and sugar rather than 4. 

I cut the broccoli very small so other ingredients will be included in fork or spoon full.

       I made some Broccoli Salad today and it just didn't taste as good as I remembered it.  For one, the broccoli tasted different.  Perhaps
broccoli from South or Central America has a little different flavor... 
   4/6/08 after letting the salad rest and blend flavors in the fridge over night it was great!

OK, this is just soooo good that if you take it to a pot luck, print out some copies of the recipe because everyone will want it. Or, better yet, tell them about this recipe web site. . .
