4 cups large pecans halves
1 Tbsp. water
½ cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
¾ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. nutmeg (ground)
1/8 tsp. ground clovesPreheat oven to 300º
In a separate bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and cloves. Set aside.
In a mixer, using the whisk attachment, beat one egg white until foamy. Add water and beat to soft peaks. Add nuts and stir until completely coated.
Pour dry ingredients over nuts and toss gently to cover.
Spread on a cookie sheet (you could line it with tinfoil) and bake @ 300º for 30 minutes, stirring often. Spread on waxed paper or (another) cookie sheet to cool.
