No Peek Stew
2 lbs. stew meat
1 can mushroom soup, condensed but undiluted
1 pkg. onion soup, dry
1 lb. Mushrooms, fresh, cleaned and sliced
1/3 C red wine (Kay says ¼ c but I like 1/3)
Preheat oven to 300º
Place meat in the bottom of a large casserole. Top with mushroom soup, then the dry onion soup mix followed by the sliced mushrooms. Pour wine over all,
Cover and bake for three hours.
Serve over rice or noodles
Sometimes we add a few little cocktail onions.
